ABCA Convention 2027

It takes place at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The organizer describes the gathering as bringing thousands of baseball coaches together.

The organizer identifies baseball coaches as attendees.

The listed program includes more than 60 clinics and Q&As, with over 400 trade show exhibitors.

It is most worthwhile for high school, college and travel-ball baseball coaches who want a large volume of clinics in one trip, since the program lists over 60 clinics and Q&As and speakers that include Buck Showalter, Curtis Granderson and Harold Reynolds. The trade show with more than 400 exhibitors suits coaches and program staff shopping for equipment and technology; people outside coaching, or those who want a narrow research-style program, would get less from a show of this size and breadth.

Baseball coaches at a convention typically wear casual athletic or team-branded clothing such as polos, quarter-zips and jackets, with slacks or jeans and comfortable shoes. Chicago in early January is cold, so a heavy coat is needed for outdoor walks, while McCormick Place is large and calls for shoes suited to long walks across the exhibit hall.
