The organizer identified blind and visually impaired community members from Indiana and Ohio as attendees.
It suited blind and low-vision residents of Indiana and Ohio who wanted to meet peers and try products and services in person, since the exhibit hall was scheduled to include Ambutech, Bosma Enterprises, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Helen Keller Services, open on Friday afternoon and Saturday. Professionals looking for a large national technology show or a deep clinical program would have gotten less from it, as this was a joint state-level convention run by the Indiana and Ohio affiliates at a single airport hotel.
Attendees at community and consumer association conventions held in airport hotels usually wear casual or business casual clothing, with comfort prioritized.
