ACVAA Annual Meeting 2026

It was held at Paradise Point Resort and Spa in San Diego, California.

The published audience includes veterinary anesthesiologists, ACVAA/ECVAA/NAVAS diplomates, veterinary technicians, residents, interns, and students.

It is most worthwhile for board-certified veterinary anesthesiologists, residents and technicians who want specialty-level content, since invited speakers were billed as including Tony L. Yaksh and William Muir, and the agenda added abstract sessions for small and large animals, an anesthesia panel and a resident review. General practitioners with only occasional anesthesia caseloads would get less, because the meeting is run by the specialty college and the program is built around its diplomates, and the recorded lectures available afterward make a full trip to San Diego a harder sell for them.

Veterinary continuing education meetings usually call for business casual, such as slacks, polos or blouses, and a light layer for air-conditioned ballrooms. The San Diego resort setting in October made relaxed, warm-weather clothes common outside sessions.
