Annual Chesapeake Watershed Forum 2026

The organizer says the forum reaches more than 400 restoration and protection practitioners.

The 2026 forum takes place at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

The listed audiences include restoration and protection practitioners, local organizations, and technical and topical experts.

It is most useful for watershed group staff, restoration practitioners and local conservation organizations looking for field-tested techniques and partners, since the forum reaches over 400 practitioners and is built around shared tools, on-the-ground lessons and capacity building. Policy makers or researchers wanting high-level or purely academic content would get less from it, as the emphasis is on local implementation.

Conservation and watershed practitioners usually dress casually, in outdoor-friendly business casual with layers and walking shoes, which fits a campus-style site like the National Conservation Training Center in West Virginia in November.
