Annual COAT Conference 2026

The conference takes place at MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.

The organizer lists county clerks, registers of deeds, state court clerks, and trustees among its members.

It is most worthwhile for Tennessee county clerks, registers of deeds, state court clerks and trustees, since the association exists for those offices and pairs training and updates with a chance to meet vendors that serve them. Officials from other states, or vendors with no product for county government offices, would find little here, because the audience is limited to Tennessee county officeholders and this is the 58th edition of a state association meeting rather than a national show.

County officials at state association conferences usually wear business casual to business professional, with suits or blazers for sessions and more relaxed attire at evening events. The resort setting in Kingsport in late October suggests a light jacket for cool evenings.
