It takes place at Heritage Center of Brooklyn Center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
Farmers are the stated audience.
It is most useful for beginning and small-scale farmers, since the topics run from business planning and financing to crop production, perennial crops and animal husbandry, and attendees can pick 4-hour sessions for depth or 2-hour sessions for breadth. Established growers with large operations may find the content too introductory, while newer farmers benefit from the one-on-one support and interpretation service.
Attendees at farmer education conferences usually dress in casual, practical clothing such as jeans, layers and closed-toe shoes, and Minnesota in November calls for a warm jacket.
