ASP Instructor Certification Courses (AIC) 2026

The course is held at the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department in Washington DC, DC.

ASP says its instructor certification programs are provided at no cost, but its free U.S. courses require a refundable security deposit at application.

Eligible participants include approved law enforcement agencies and officers, qualified military personnel, private security, and other pre-qualified participants.

It is most useful for officers, military personnel and private security staff who need instructor credentials, since the courses are offered at no cost to the law enforcement community and held at the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department. Civilians or unapproved applicants would get nothing from it, as entry is limited to pre-qualified participants and a refundable security deposit is required at application.

Participants in police instructor certification courses usually wear duty uniform or practical range-style clothing such as tactical pants, a polo and sturdy boots, since the training is hands-on.
