The 2027 conference is at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk in Chicago, Illinois.
Listed attendee groups include veterinary professionals, students, veterinarians, veterinary technicians, association executives, and industry professionals.
It is most useful for veterinarians, students and association executives who want leadership training and exposure to AVMA governance, since the program mixes CE sessions with governance meetings and draws a wide range of veterinary professionals. Clinicians seeking deep clinical or technical CE will get less from it, because the focus is leadership and profession-level networking rather than hands-on medicine.
Attendees at veterinary leadership and association conferences usually wear business casual, with blazers for governance meetings, and warm layers for Chicago in January.
