5 answeredThe course starts November 13, 2026.
It takes place at Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center in Cave Creek, Arizona.
The course is intended for veterinarians, including practitioners from equine practice.
It is worth it for mixed and equine practice veterinarians who want hands-on scanning skills, since the 1 1/2-day course covers abdomen, thorax, eye and jugular vein imaging plus pleural drainage, biopsy and foal work, taught by Katherine Chope and Mary Durando. Small animal-only practitioners or those seeking a broad CE survey would get less, because the content targets equine and mixed practice and the practical format is held at a veterinary medical center.
Veterinarians at practical ultrasound courses usually wear scrubs or casual clothes with closed-toe shoes, and often bring a layer or coverall if scanning sessions involve live animals.
