DMM Journal Meeting: Innovative Preclinical Models for Pediatric Cancer Research 2026

It was held at Nationwide Children's Hospital in downtown Columbus, Ohio.

The published audience included pediatric cancer researchers from academia and industry, plus PhD students and postdocs.

It was most useful for researchers who build or use preclinical models of childhood cancer, since the organiser-speakers came from Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Harvard Medical School, the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital, and attendance was expected for the whole meeting. Scientists working on adult cancers, or anyone wanting a brief visit, would have got less, while a past exhibitor said the booth placement near the conference room led to plenty of contact at breaks.

Scientists at academic journal meetings usually wear smart casual, such as slacks or jeans with a shirt or sweater, and a bit smarter for the conference dinner.
