It was worth attending for existing Denver Urban Gardens supporters, volunteers and community garden members, since it was a harvest celebration of more than 400 community members on a single evening at ReelWorks Denver. Those looking for professional development or industry networking would have gotten less from it, as it was a fundraising and thanksgiving gathering for one organization's community rather than a program of sessions.
Attendees at nonprofit harvest galas in Denver typically wear smart casual or cocktail attire, with a relaxed Colorado feel that often includes nice jeans, boots or a blazer. An evening in early October in Denver can turn cool, so a jacket was useful.
