Great Lakes Beach Association National Beach Summit 2026

It takes place at Hagerty Center at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, Michigan.

It is most useful for beach managers, public health staff and water-quality monitoring professionals in the Great Lakes region, since the sponsors are mostly water-testing and molecular lab firms such as MolEndoTech, Idexx, Bio-Rad and GT Molecular, alongside the Indiana MS4 Partnership. As the 24th annual meeting of a regional association held over four days in Traverse City, it offers a focused peer group; professionals outside Great Lakes beach and stormwater work would find less that applies to them.

Attendees at environmental and public health association meetings usually wear business casual or outdoor-casual clothing. Northern Michigan in late October is cool, so a warm layer or jacket is useful.
