About

ILTA (International Legal Technology Association), headquartered in Chicago, organizes ILTACON as its conference for legal technology professionals. The conference bills itself as the only peer-created and peer-led conference for legal technology professionals, combining peer-driven programs, educational content, and face-to-face networking. Educational programming includes learning pathways, panel discussions, hands-on training, and attendee-driven sessions developed by co-chairs and experienced ILTA members. ILTACON has grown large enough that its host venue, the Gaylord Opryland (the largest non-casino hotel in the US), cannot accommodate all attendees, requiring overflow hotel blocks with daily shuttles.

Questions people ask

8 answered

ILTACON 2026 runs 23–27 August 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

ILTACON draws 1,600+ technology decision-makers from law firms, organizations, and legal departments worldwide. The event does not cap attendance, and the Gaylord Opryland (the largest non-casino hotel in the US) cannot accommodate every attendee under one roof.

Attendees include leaders, managers, and decision-making legal technologists from small to large law firms, corporate and government law departments, academia, and G100/G200 firms.

Attending pays off when a conference concentrates the vendor evaluation, peer benchmarking, and hands-on sessions that would otherwise take separate calls and trips throughout the year. For legal-technology leaders and IT professionals, ILTACON's draw is the density of peers and vendors under one roof rather than any single session.

ILTACON 2026 is held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, 2800 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN 37214.

Full-week registration currently costs $2,999 for ILTA members and $3,999 for non-members, up from $2,250/$2,999 before the 16 June 2026 price increase. Exhibit Hall Only access for a single day runs $399 for members and $599 for non-members.

Whether ILTACON is worth the trip depends on how much weight your role puts on vendor evaluation, peer benchmarking, and direct access to legal IT and knowledge-management leaders from other firms. If those priorities are high, a multi-day industry conference like this one typically pays for itself in vendor comparisons and relationships alone; if not, a lighter-touch virtual option may serve the same purpose for less time and cost.

Business casual is the safe default for legal-technology conferences, with layers recommended since conference-center air conditioning tends to run cold. The organizer doesn't publish a formal dress code, so err toward what's comfortable for a full day of sessions and walking an exhibit hall.
