It was most useful for Iowa state and local government IT staff and the vendors who sell to them, since the day was scheduled to be opened by the State of Iowa CIO and to include the Deputy State CIO, with topics such as responsible AI, digital accessibility and AI data protection. As a one-day, seventh-annual state-focused summit, it offered less to technology leaders outside Iowa or to those wanting deep technical sessions.
State and local government technology staff at hotel-based summits usually wear business casual, such as slacks and a collared shirt or blouse, with suits mainly on senior officials and keynote speakers.
