ISA-South 2026

ISA-South 2026 was held at University of North Carolina Greensboro in Greensboro, NC.

ISA-South is for international studies scholars in the ISA South region.

It is most useful for international studies scholars in the southern region, especially graduate students and early-career faculty who want to present and get feedback in a two-day meeting on a university campus, and a preliminary program was announced before the event. Senior scholars seeking a large international audience and heavy publisher or job-market presence would get less from a regional meeting than from the main ISA annual convention.

Academics at regional political science and international studies meetings usually wear business casual, with a blazer for presenters. A campus setting in North Carolina in early October is mild, so light layers and walking shoes suit moving between buildings.
