The 2026 conference is at Galt House Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky.
The published audience includes general and special education teachers, administrators, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and therapists.
It is most useful for special education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists and related service providers in Kentucky, since over 100 sessions target that audience and the Kentucky Department of Education and Kentucky CEC are among the sponsors. Educators outside Kentucky or those seeking research-level content would get less from it, as it is a state-level conference with a practice focus.
Educators at special education conferences usually wear business casual, such as slacks, blouses or polos and cardigans, with comfortable shoes for moving between sessions. Late November in Louisville is chilly, so layers are sensible in a large hotel venue like the Galt House Hotel.
