MSFCA Annual Conference 2026

MSFCA Annual Conference 2026 took place October 14–17.

The conference was held in Duluth, Minnesota at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.

The conference was billed as bringing together fire chiefs and fire service leaders from Minnesota and the surrounding region.

The primary attendees were expected to be fire chiefs and fire service leaders from fire departments across Minnesota and the region.

It is most useful for Minnesota fire chiefs and other fire service leaders, since the four days were scheduled to be framed by leadership sessions from Gene Landers of Orange Township Fire Department and Chris Armstrong of The Thinking Chief Leadership Group, and a chief who registered was billed to bring the department free entry to the trade show. Line firefighters or vendors wanting a national audience would get less, but for chiefs the cost was modest at $350 for members or $425 for non-members at the late rate, and the sponsor list of apparatus, equipment and architecture firms made the show useful for station and fleet planning.

Fire service conferences usually see chiefs in dress uniforms or business casual during sessions, with suits or dressier attire for the banquet, and warm layers were sensible for Duluth in mid-October.
