National League of Cities City Summit 2026

The organizer says the summit welcomes thousands from across the country.

The 2026 summit is at Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

The organizer lists local leaders, local elected officials, municipal staff, and city leaders among the audience.

It is most useful for mayors, council members and municipal staff who want to compare notes with peers from other cities, since the audience is local elected officials and city leaders drawn from across the country. Vendors and private-sector professionals without a municipal client base will get less from it, and the listed speaker Jon Meacham suggests plenary content aimed at a broad civic audience rather than narrow technical training.

Local government officials at national municipal gatherings usually wear business casual to business professional, with suits common for elected officials and plenary sessions. Comfortable shoes help at a large convention center such as Music City Center in Nashville.
