Questions people ask
5 answeredNational Specialty 2027 starts on November 14, 2027.
It takes place at Meadows Event Park in Doswell, Virginia.
The show features Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, including puppy, veteran, stud dog, and brood bitch competition categories.
It is most worthwhile for Greater Swiss Mountain Dog owners, breeders and exhibitors, since the show combines conformation, weight pulls, pack hikes, obedience, rally and drafting with health seminars and the annual club meeting. Those without a connection to the breed, or exhibitors of other breeds, would find little of relevance.
Attendees at dog shows usually dress practically in casual, outdoor-ready clothes with sturdy shoes, while conformation handlers and judges wear neat, tailored outfits in the ring. The November date at an event park in Virginia calls for layers and weatherproof footwear.
