Osha and California Labor and Employment Law Summit in Southern California 2026

The 2026 edition was held at The Westin Pasadena.

It was aimed at California employers, HR professionals, and workplace safety professionals.

The scheduled presenters were Rachel L. Conn (California Practice Chair), Megan S. Shaked (California Practice Lead), Eric J. Conn (OSHA Practice Chair), and Andrea O. Chavez (Senior Counsel), all from Conn Maciel Carey LLP.

Continental breakfast, lunch, and program materials were included.

The program was submitted for HRCI and SHRM professional development credits, and for California Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits.

The program was billed as covering the latest OSHA rulemaking, legislative, and enforcement developments in California.

Conn Maciel Carey LLP organized the program through its California-based attorneys in the national OSHA, workplace safety, and labor and employment practice groups.

It was most useful for California employers, HR leads and workplace safety managers who needed current OSHA and California enforcement and legislative developments from Conn Maciel Carey LLP attorneys, including OSHA Practice Chair Eric J. Conn. The one-day format with HRCI, SHRM and California CLE credit submitted, plus breakfast and lunch, suited professionals who needed credits; employers outside California or those wanting vendor exhibits would get less from a law-firm seminar.

Attendees at law-firm seminars for HR and safety professionals usually wear business casual or business attire. Pasadena in early October is often warm, so lighter fabrics with a layer for the air-conditioned room work well.
