SDML Annual Conference 2026

The conference takes place at the Ramkota Hotel & Convention Center in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Municipal employees and elected officials from across South Dakota attend the conference.

City and county government employees and elected officials attend, including administrative staff, finance professionals, public works personnel, and municipal leaders.

It is most useful for South Dakota city staff and elected officials who want to swap practices with peers from other towns, and to look over products from exhibitors in one place, since the gathering is organised by the South Dakota Municipal League and draws from across the state. Officials and vendors from outside South Dakota would get less from it, because the audience is a statewide one and the Aberdeen setting is regional, and suppliers wanting national reach would find a bigger pool at a national municipal show.
