5 answeredThe conference is scheduled for October 7–9, 2026.
The conference takes place at Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center in Coralville, Iowa.
The stated audience includes HR professionals and talent leaders, with programming for entry-level participants through senior leadership.
Senior HR executives wanting a national peer set or highly specialized content may get less than at a national SHRM event, though the state council draws outside speakers such as Dr. Celina Peerman and Jason A. Hunt.
HR professionals at state SHRM conferences usually wear business casual, with blazers and slacks or dresses common and some attendees in full business professional. A hotel conference center in Iowa in October can be cool, so a layer helps.
