TOEA Conference 2026

The conference takes place at Texas Tech Outdoor Center in Junction, Texas.

The published audience includes PK–12 teachers, college professors, camp directors and counselors, employees of organizations such as Texas Parks and Wildlife, and conservation and wildlife associations.

It is most useful for teachers, camp staff and park or conservation employees who want to swap ideas with other outdoor educators across Texas, since the audience includes PK-12 teachers, college professors, camp directors and employees of groups like Texas Parks and Wildlife. Being held at the Texas Tech Outdoor Center in Junction makes it a hands-on, community-style gathering rather than a large trade show, so vendors or professionals outside education and conservation would get less from it.

Outdoor educators usually dress casually and practically, in field shirts or t-shirts, jeans or shorts and closed-toe shoes, with a hat, sunscreen and a warm layer for October evenings.
