Wee Kirk Conference 2026

It takes place at Montreat Conference Center.

The published program lists adult continuing education worship and Leadership, Barnabas, Creative Worship, and Spiritual Formation tracks.

It is most useful for pastors and lay leaders of small congregations, since the conference is centered on the small church and offers leadership, creative worship, spiritual formation and Barnabas tracks, with worship and preaching led by clergy such as Rev. Leaders of large congregations looking for program-scale or staffing strategies would get less, because the theme centers on the strength found in small, obscure places.

Attendees at church conferences at mountain retreat centers like Montreat usually dress casually, with slacks or khakis and comfortable shoes for walking between buildings, plus layers for cool mountain evenings in October.
