It suits YMCA camp directors and program staff, since the conference is organized by and for YMCA camping professionals and is held at a host camp, YMCA Camp Copneconic, so session topics can be tied to a working site. Independent camp operators, or vendors hoping for a broad buyer pool, would get less from it, because a peer gathering this specific to one movement is narrow by design.
Camp professionals at a January conference held at a camp usually dress casually and warmly, in layers, fleece or jeans with sturdy closed shoes for walking between buildings outdoors.
