York Train Meet 2026 takes place at York Expo Center.
The published audience includes train collectors, operators, dealers, and enthusiasts.
It is most useful for collectors and dealers who want to buy, sell and trade in volume, since the event includes a Purple Hall Pre-Show with hundreds of tables and early shopping access. Casual visitors with only a passing interest in trains would get less, as the draw is organised around the Train Collectors Association's Eastern Division and its trading community at York Expo Center.
Attendees at train swap meets usually wear casual, comfortable clothes and sturdy walking shoes, since days are spent walking aisles of tables. A light jacket is sensible for an October date, and a bag or backpack is handy for carrying purchases.
