AWBD MidWinter Conference 2027

The conference takes place at Fairmont Austin in Austin, Texas.

The audience includes representatives of municipal, public, special and other utility districts, water control and improvement districts, levee improvement districts, and industry consultants.

It is most useful for board directors and managers of Texas utility districts such as MUDs, PUDs and WCIDs, since the association exists to advocate for and educate those districts and counts over 900 members. Consultants serving those districts also benefit from reaching the board members who govern them; those outside Texas water districts would find the content less relevant.

Water district directors and consultants at Texas association meetings usually wear business casual, with slacks and collared shirts or blazers and some boots. A hotel venue in Austin in January is mild but can be chilly, so a jacket is useful.
