Illinois Route 66 Scenic Byway Statewide Conference & Epic Route 66 Centennial Celebration 2026

It is held at Route 66 Motorheads Bar-Grill-Museum in Springfield, Illinois.

The organizer identifies Route 66 leaders, tourism professionals, community stakeholders, and Route 66 enthusiasts as attendees.

It is most useful for Route 66 tourism professionals, community stakeholders and byway leaders in Illinois, since the conference is organized by the Illinois Route 66 Scenic Byway and ends with a centennial concert headlined by Starship featuring Mickey Thomas. Those wanting deep technical or policy content may get less, as the day is built around a celebration at a bar, grill and museum complex, though enthusiasts will enjoy the setting.

Attendees at regional tourism and heritage gatherings usually wear business casual or casual, and a rock concert evening suits jeans and comfortable shoes. Springfield in mid-November is cold, so layers and a warm coat are practical.
