The event hosts 20 child-run businesses operating from booths in a tented outdoor setup.
Child entrepreneurs and their families attend.
The event is a tented outdoor marketplace where each business operates from a booth with an 8-foot table shared with one other business, full-cover tenting, and one chair.
Parents of younger children may sit in the booth, but children must handle setup, customer interactions, and sales themselves; parents selling the child's product disqualifies the business.
Applications for this event are now closed.
Families at outdoor children's markets usually wear casual, comfortable clothes, and young vendors often dress a little smarter or wear a matching brand shirt. The tented outdoor setting in Houston at the end of October calls for light layers and sun protection.
