It is worth attending for recreational and club cyclists who want a supported weekend ride, since routes include a metric century, hilly routes, a Trimble Park 10 mile ride and a shorter, easier option for novices. Profits go to swim lessons and scholarships, which suits riders who like a charity cause, but competitive racers seeking timed events or industry contacts would get less from a city-run festival.
Riders at cycling festivals usually wear cycling jerseys, padded shorts and helmets, with sunscreen and plenty of water for Florida's warm October weather.
