It is most useful for movement organizers, advocates, journalists and technologists interested in how digital tools serve racial, social and climate justice, since the organizer states the talks focus much less on code than on power-building and accountability. Developers looking for technical deep dives on frameworks or engineering practice would get less from it, because the program is aimed at a mixed movement community rather than software specialists.
Attendees at activist and nonprofit tech gatherings in Oakland usually dress casually, in jeans or relaxed layers, with a jacket for November evenings.
