The Slave Dwelling Project Conference is the 9th national gathering of scholars, historians, and preservationists dedicated to exploring slavery's history and impact through heritage conservation and public memory. The 2026 edition, titled 250 Years and Counting: Reckoning, Resilience, and Remembrance, is held in collaboration with the South Carolina 250th Anniversary Committee in North Charleston.
