The 2026 convention is at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
It is worth it for amateur radio hobbyists in the Minnesota area, including newcomers, since no license is required and the speaker list of around twenty names plus sponsors such as ARRL and two regional radio associations points to a community-run hobby gathering. Professionals looking for industry contacts or a large commercial exhibit would get less from it, as it is held at Hennepin Technical College rather than a major convention venue.
October in Minnesota is cool, so a jacket or layers are common.
