South Central Chapter of the Medical Library Association Annual Meeting 2026

The 2026 Annual Meeting took place October 16–20, 2026.

The meeting was held at the Downtown Fort Worth Hilton in Fort Worth, Texas.

The meeting was aimed at medical library professionals, educators, and students.

The theme was 'Cowtown Connections,' emphasizing community, culture, and collaboration in medical librarianship.

Lindsay Blake served as the 2026 SCC/MLA President.

The meeting ran for five days, from October 16–20.

It was most useful for medical and health sciences librarians in the South Central region, including students, since the meeting was a chapter gathering of library professionals and educators co-hosted by Cook Children's Health Care System and UNT Health's Gibson D. Lewis Library. Member registration of $295 to $395 kept the cost modest for a five-day meeting, but librarians seeking a national audience or vendors wanting a large buyer pool would get more from the national MLA meeting.

Librarians at chapter meetings usually wear business casual, such as slacks and a cardigan or blazer, with a dressier outfit for any luncheon. Fort Worth in October is mild, so light layers are enough.
